James 5:13

If you only associate with those that are in the same position/circumstances we may feel comfortable because they won't judge and you won't be envious. However, James' picture of normal church community is shown in verses 13-20. A dynamic congregation should be made of people who should be engaged with each other, that are open with each other, and that show concern for each other.

A church community should connect in prayer: to have communion with God and to fellowship with each other.

Instead of praying we may have anger against God, or turn to other things/people for help or distraction.

Anyone suffering should: pray for deliverance, pray in submission to God's will, pray for strength and endurance, pray for wisdom and insight, pray for peace.

The church must remember life is not all about suffering; when things are going well we must remember to give Him praise and thanks.
