Call To Worship

We have all heard of the acronym ACTS. A for Adoration. Adoration focuses our mind on the character and beauty of God. It puts life into perspective when we worship God and remember He is sovereign and good. Let us have great thoughts of God for His name is great. C stands for confession. Take time to confess your sins and your shortcomings. Hide nothing from the Lord. Then ask God to forgive you for anything that has come between you and Him and accept God’s grace and mercy. T stands for Thanksgiving. Enter His presence with thanksgiving in your heart. We have been forgiven. Jesus has done it all. We are saved. There is so much to be thankful for. Trace all good things in your life back to God. Thank Jesus for dying on the cross for you. S stands for supplication. Supplication means to offer prayer. We are invited to come to the throne of grace and find mercy and strength in time of need. Pray for your needs and intercede for others. Today’s four songs of worship follow the ACTS approach. Adoration or worship, confession, thanksgiving and prayer.

Pray

Pray for Lisa O’ Leary who lost her dad this past week and pray for Tancho who lost his mom as well. Pray for the hurting and grieving and lonely people in our city. Pray for the end of the lockdown. Pray that we might be faithful and effective and caring for one another while it lasts. Pray for the gospel to spread even now. Pray for your friends and loved ones who do not know the Lord.
